Duck, Death and the Tulip

On Friday the 4th of March the Year 2 children were given a wonderful opportunity to attend a play called Duck, Death and the Tulip. This was presented by the 2016 Auckland Arts Festival and was kindly subsidised and sponsored by Angela Temata from Harcourts Milford who kindly paid $5 towards the $10 tickets.

Duck, Death and the Tulpi was a beautiful, gentle puppet show about a playful duck and a mysterious character who strike up an unlikely friendship. Adapted from the popular children's book by Wolf Erlbruch, the award-winning show is a simple, original, warm and witty play about life. It won the Outstanding Theatre Award- Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2014 and is recommended for children from 4-8 years.

Angela has also kindly donated a copy of the book to our school. Thank you Angela! :)

Swimming Carnival

Yesterday the Junior Syndicate held our swimming carnival in the school pool.  It turned out to be a beautiful day and it was lovely to see so many parents come and watch.
