Green Thinking Hats

Mrs Hanson asked us to put on our green thinking hats and create something new from a box on a page. We thought of all sorts of different things. Once we had drawn our picture we explained to Mrs Hanson what we had created and she wrote it down to explain our drawing.

Fairytale Day

At the end of Term 2 we celebrated our fairytale day with a fun day of activities and a parade dressed up as our favourite fairytale character.  Mrs O'Hanlon pretended to be the Big Bad Wolf and chased Mrs Stewart who was pretending to be Little Red Riding Hood. The police came and arrested the Big Bad Wolf and took him off to jail!

Our Brilliant Bees

We created some wonderful pictures of bees using pastels, dye and newspaper. We created layers to our art to make it into a wonderful creation. Mrs Hanson is proud of our work and how individual each bees is....just like us!

Maori Homework Challenge

At the end of last term we had a homework challenge for Maori. We were asked to create a resource for the classroom. Well done to Smrithi, Juele, Breanna, Jonas, Reese, Lukas, Alex, Arnav, Young Eun and Esther for taking the time to complete the challenge. You all did such a great job!

Maths- Measurement

We have been learning about measurement. We measured our feet and hands and compared the largest to the smallest.

The Emperor's New Clothes

During Term 2 we learnt about fairytales and Mrs Hanson read us 'The Emperor's New Clothes'. We did a language activity using all the amazing vocabulary in the story. We also made our own long coats for the Emperor. Mrs Hanson was so proud of our work and all the detail on them. She thought they were amazing!

The Auckland Botanic Gardens

In May we went on a Year 2 trip to the Auckland Botanic Gardens. It was a great day out and we had a lot of fun building on learning about invertebrates.
